Christian Education
From January through June, under the skilled, caring dedication and hard work of our teachers, our children receive an excellent program of Christian Education and learn how to apply it in their daily lives.
Our current curriculum is “Seasons of the Spirit” www.spiritseasons.com. Children ages Pre-K through 8th grade focus on the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a lectionary-based curriculum so the children will hear the same bible stories as the adults at the same time. This allows each member of the congregation to be engaged in the worship experience regardless of age, learning style or stage of faith development. which clearly enhances the above concept and is for children Pre-K through 8th grade.
Our adult study program has encompassed traditional Bible Study, as well as exposure to the beliefs of different faiths.
Throughout the year, we have an Adult Book Study Group that meets usually on a weeknight for six to eight weeks to explore issues related to our faith. Sometimes we focus on studying a particular book or passage from the Bible. Sometimes we focus of recent Biblical scholarship. Other times, we pick a book on a topic of current interest. Readings in past groups have included:
